Description

Up for sale is my 71 dodge challenger r/t. I really wanted to restore this car, but I just have too many projects. I far as I know, all of the body panels on the car are original and paint and stripes are the originals…not exactly a survivor, but very well-preserved. It is an original dark green metallic car with black interior, 340 4 barrel with 727 automatic and 3.55 sure grip rear. Not too many 71 340 challenger R/Ts made=RARE CAR! All of the original drive train has been replaced. It currently has a big block 383 in it with 727 transmission…I never tried to get it to run. Included with the sale is a ’71 340 block that was completely machined…bored with new soft plugs and cam bearings installed. It has been sitting for a while, so it will need cleaned up. There is a stock set of 340 J heads with the deal. It also comes with all of the parts in the picture including the very hard-to find 340 hi po exhaust manifolds. There are some NOS 340 four barrel hood emblems in there, too. It has rally gauges with 8 grand tachometer. There is miscellaneous trim, quarter windows, new dash cap, radio, rear valance, door mirror, interior rear view mirror, etc. Not pictured, but included are: fuel tank, door handle, extra interior panels, windshield trim, cowl grates, etc. All glass is good including windshield with no breaks. Trunk and floors are very solid for an e body and will only need patches. Frame is super solid…a little flaky and one side has a pinch of rust towards the rear as shown in the pictures=easy fix. Fender tag and dash vin plate is present and match cowl and radiator support. The title is clear and in my name. It will be very difficult to find a better e body project car. This is one of 1,009 71 challenger R/Ts with 340 motor…probably around 1 of 600 with automatic transmission. 3.55 rear gear pakage was an upgrade. This is a rare car!

Vehicle ConditionWe take pride in our business and have almost every vehicle offered carefully inspected by a Certified Mechanic. Most vehicles have passed the Missouri State Vehicle Safety Inspection. Please keep in mind that we try to disclose all information known about the vehicle. Used vehicles will have typical scratches and/or dings inherent for their age and mileage. Some dents have been repaired by a Paintless Dent Removal system (PDR). Some scratches and door dings my have been touched up by an air brush artist. The wear and condition of every vehicle differs and is in direct relation to its age, year and mileage. We cannot guarantee that there will not be any mechanical problems. Miles posted in the listings mar vary slightly do to local test driving, in-transit repairs or road testing. No used vehicle is perfect or described as in mint condition. Used vehicles have some normal cosmetic and mechanical wear. Odometer readings may vary slightly from those posted due to demo drives, demo use and reconditioning. Not all vehicles will have a spare key and remote. If you need an extra, you can have them at our cost.

Every listing that has less than l00,000 miles will have a Free Limited Power Train Warranty. A Remaining Manufacturer’s Warranty or eBay Limited Warranty may apply to the vehicle. Extended warranties may also be available for your peace of mind.
